Inorganic Films
The study of the formation of inorganic films involves: (i) incorporation of coordination compounds in biodegradable polymers such as chitosan, (ii) synthesis and characterization of polynuclear compounds with potential use as molecular wires and (iii) a modification of metal surfaces. Some of the projects included in this line are presented below:
- Incorporation of ion complexes of the type [Fe (CN) 5 (L)] 3 – and NH 3 with L = pyrazine(pz) of Chitosan Polymeric Matrix.
- Use of Techniques SPR (Surface Plasmon Resonance) and QCM (Quartz CrystalMicrobalance) in situ Study of Substitution Reactions in Coordination CompoundsAdsorbed on Gold.
- Use of binuclear compounds in Studies of Electron Transfer in Homo andHeterogeneous Phases.
- Molecules containing sulfur: Thermodynamics and Kinetics of Formation of monolayersand Potential Application as Chemical and Biological Sensor.
